Skagit Commons is built on a beautiful site of over four acres in Anacortes, Washington. Mount Baker and Fidalgo Bay are visible in the distance and the Anacortes Community Forest Lands, with over 50 miles of hiking/biking trails through forest, wetlands, meadows, and lakeshore, is only two blocks away.
Anacortes is known as the gateway to the San Juan Islands and boasts more than 2500 boat slips. There is a thriving art and theater community, many great restaurants and endless outdoor pursuits. Just eight miles south of town is the renowned Deception Pass State Park. Anacortes is part of the Skagit Valley located between Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia. The valley’s farmlands produce vegetables, seeds, berries, apples, and is most known for the tulip and daffodil fields. |
Skagit Cohousing/Commons Land Acknowledgement
Skagit Cohousing/Commons acknowledges that we live on the ancestral homelands of the Coast Salish people, including most notably the Samish Indian Nation, Swinomish Indian Tribal Community and Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, who have stewarded this land since time immemorial. We raise our hands in gratitude to the Coast Salish people for sharing and caring for this most sacred Skagit place we call home.
